As a filmmaker, visual artist, and designer I'm a passionate creative leader hell-bent on making things that move people toward a better world. When there wasn't a good enough platform for LGBT artists in this city, I built and ran an art collective that amplified our voices. When I didn't find a job that I thought was the right fit for me, I started my own company. I have built a creative career on top of my passion for incredible visual experiences, my technical skills, my commitment to showing up and doing the hard work, and a belief that art and design are the most effective tools to inspire action in those around us.
We live in a world where everyone has a window to the universe in their pocket. As a result, today's audiences are hyperliterate in what is good creative and what is bad. Whether it's film, video, design, or art: to move people toward something - an idea, an action, a purchase - we have to create products that stand apart from the noise.
That's no small feat. It takes skill, hard work, and a willingness to take risks - in our own careers, in what we create, and with our clients.
Human beings are emotional learners. We are moved by narratives and moments we connect to. So whether I'm managing a team or project, or creating on my own, my goal is always the same: to push myself and those around me to create elevated work that exceeds expectations and redefines the status quo — built on a foundation of authentic stories and moments.
